Wedding Spotlight: The Wedding of Jonathan and Laura Littlewood
On a vibrant summer day in July, beneath the vast Norfolk sky, Jonathan and Laura Littlewood vowed to love and cherish each other forever. Their wedding at Worstead Estate was a heartfelt celebration of their journey together, filled with personal touches and unforgettable moments.
The morning began with an air of excitement and anticipation. Laura, radiant in a stunning Madison James gown from Adella Bridal, prepared with her family and closest friends. The dress, found spontaneously at a bridal sale event, was everything Laura had dreamed of and more. Her bridesmaid, Katie Morton, donned a graceful sage green dress, complementing the natural, meadow-inspired theme that Jonathan and Laura had chosen.
As the time for the ceremony approached, guests gathered at the scenic outdoor setting of The Woodyard. The venue, with its rustic barn, serene lake, and lush woodland, was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s vision. The journey to finding this idyllic location was unique—while Jonathan and Laura were in New Zealand, their families attended wedding open days and sent pictures and videos. The couple fell in love with Worstead Estate immediately.
Laura walked down the aisle, escorted by her father, her face beaming with joy. The ceremony, held outdoors, was a dream come true despite the playful mishaps along the way—a bee landing on her veil, her veil getting caught on a chair, and a sudden downpour just as the ceremony began. This unexpected turn of weather meant Laura got to walk down the aisle twice, once outside and then inside. It was a moment filled with laughter and love, reflecting the couple’s positive and resilient spirit.
The rain ceased just in time for the confetti celebration, leading to a gorgeous afternoon and evening. Guests enjoyed a delectable three-course meal, with most opting for the creative vegetarian dishes, a testament to Jonathan and Laura’s passion for food. Jonny’s step-mum crafted a delicious wedding cake, though it disappeared so quickly that the newlyweds barely got a taste!
The reception was a lively affair, with heartfelt speeches emphasizing the importance of living in the moment. The Joe Ringer Band provided stellar live music and DJ sets, keeping the dance floor bustling all night. One of the evening’s highlights was Jonathan and Laura’s first dance to “Light Up My Life” by Whitney Houston. Having taken private ballroom lessons, the couple performed a choreographed routine that left their guests in awe—a memory they still cherish and revisit through video.
The following day, a post-wedding lunch with family and friends was a time for Jonathan and Laura to reflect on their beautiful day and look forward to their future together.
