WORSTEAD ESTATE WEDDINGS

The best team, venue and location! We celebrated our big day at The Woodyard and we could not have hoped for a better venue. From the beautiful grounds, spacious and a lovely flow in the venue itself all the way to the guys working behind the scenes; in particular Marie.

We stayed on site with the accommodation at Estate Cottage and Swann Cottage and the stay matched the venue! The accommodation conveniently placed nearby; meaning there was an ease to go back and forth. The properties were the perfect place to prepare and unwind; we loved our stay in both properties.

Marie was always on hand to answer any questions, provide ideas and put things into action with no hesitation. We felt completely at ease on the day as we knew Marie would be looking after us! Hayley was also pivotal in making any interaction we had an enjoyable one too!

We can’t thank you and the team enough for making our special day one we will always remember.

Nothing more than perfection. From start to finish Marie worked incredibly hard to make our day everything we could have asked for and more. There was nothing Marie wouldn’t do and went above and beyond in looking after us and our guests by taking some elderly family home as it was close by, removing an espresso martini spillage from my dress and putting out all of our evening finishing touches without us knowing.

Everything ran smoothly from start to finish and was definitely the best day of our lives.

We had hoped for an outdoor wedding and the weather let us down but honestly as cliche as it is, it didn't matter. Along with the venue manager Marie & grounds manager Steve prepping for every eventuality. We were allowed in the venue a couple of days before which really made a different to us in terms of setting things up and feeling a bit more calm about all the prep. It was such a smooth and joyful day and I know this was down to how much went on behind the scenes. No ask was too big. I'm a very organised/particular bride and I was so grateful for all the attention to detail that this venue helped with. Marie the venue manager is calm, kind, fun and SO organised. She even came to see me the morning of to check I was ok because I had been feeling anxious. You will be in such safe hands at this venue and it is beautiful come rain or shine ;) . Totally recommend staying the night after the wedding for some hot tub R&R and reminiscing.

The grounds of Worstead Estate are absolutely stunning and so many of our guests commented on how it was the nicest venue they had been to. The two rooms used for the ceremony and wedding breakfast are beautiful and although you can personalize them with your own decorations the rooms themselves are so lovely as they are and therefore we didn’t need lots of decoration. Marie and Lizzie the wedding coordinators are just the best - they are a perfect dream team and handled everything for us.. they were always available through email or phone and we never felt worried or stressed as they had it all in hand. They are both so kind and professional and nothing ever felt like a silly question, you could really sense they just wanted the day to be perfect for us. Finally, the accommodation offer the Woodyard has is great - especially the Estate Cottage next to the venue, I absolutely loved seeing my guests arrive as I was getting ready in the morning and it added even more to the excitement. I would recommend Worstead to everybody and I really hope we can visit again another time as wedding guests! Thank you.

We had the most amazing wedding day at the Woodyard. From meeting Marie at the first viewing to the actual big day with Lizzie by our side, nothing was too much to ask; they were always one step ahead of us and helped make the day run so smoothly. It was everything we could have imagined and more. 

We really wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and were so lucky with all the choices at The Woodyard. We ended up choosing to get married by the lake which made such a beautiful back drop. After the ceremony we rowed off in the "You and I" boat, something that helped make our day unique. It was also so special having that quiet time together out on the lake straight after the ceremony. Lizzie even offered to come in in her waders if we got stuck - our hero! They really do go above and beyond the call of duty to make your day special and just how you want it. 

We didn't have to think about anything on the day, the professional coordination of Lizzie with her warm, kind and efficient nature, alongside the calm, friendly and knowledgeable traits of Becky from Florentina made the entire day run seamlessly. Their attention to detail is incredible. They communicated with us and one another effectively, organised groomsmen and guests to where they needed to be, as well as made sure all props were in the correct place and the flowers got moved after the ceremony. The icing on the cake was making sure we always had a full glass and that we got our canapés set aside so we didn't miss out! 

The Woodyard's bar team, East Coast Bars, were professional, welcoming, attentive and patient to all requests - no matter how far-fetched! It certainly made for a memorable evening... or for some not so much! 

Having the on site accommodation was such a bonus too, being able to merrily stroll up the path to bed as Mr & Mrs was amazing! We'd love to party at the Woodyard every year if we could! We could not recommend Lizzie, Marie and the Woodyard family enough!
