As you begin planning your wedding, we understand that while it’s an exciting time, it can also feel daunting. From setting a budget to choosing the perfect venue, there are many decisions to make. At Worstead Estate, we’re here to ease that stress and guide you through every step.

When you book your wedding with us, you'll benefit from the expertise of our dedicated venue coordinator, Marie. Although she joined us this June, Marie brings years of experience in the wedding and hospitality industry. Her background includes being the Wedding Co-ordinator at Florentina Catering, one of our recommended catering partners so is well versed in the running of The Woodyard, as well as having prior experience as the General Manager at the Ingham Swan and Gunton Arms. With her extensive knowledge and experience means you can trust that you’re in capable hands.

Marie will work with you through every step of your wedding planning process to ensure everything runs smoothly and meets your expectations. Here's how she'll assist you:

1.Initial Consultation: Marie will meet with you at The Woodyard to understand your vision, preferences, and any specific requirements you have for your wedding day. This initial discussion helps set the foundation for planning.

2. Timeline and Checklist: She'll help you create a detailed timeline and checklist, outlining all the tasks that need to be completed before the big day. This will include important deadlines for things like invitations and vendor bookings.

3. Vendor Recommendations: With her experience and network in the wedding industry and from our own weddings we’ve held at Worstead Estate, Marie can recommend trusted suppliers, including caterers, florists, photographers, and more. She can provide insights and help you choose the best options that fit your style and budget.

4. Venue Layout and Design: Marie will work with you to design the layout of the venue, including seating arrangements, décor suggestions, and any special touches you want to include. She'll ensure that everything is set up according to your preferences and personal touches. 

5. Coordination: Marie will handle communication with your selected vendors to confirm details, schedule deliveries, and ensure everyone is on the same page. This will help avoid any last-minute issues or misunderstandings.

6. Rehearsal Management: She will organise and manage your rehearsal to ensure that everyone knows their roles and responsibilities for the ceremony. This will help the actual event go off without a hitch.

7. On the Day Coordination: On your wedding day, Marie will be on-site to oversee everything, from the setup to the execution of the schedule. She’ll handle any unexpected issues that may arise, so you and your guests can enjoy the day without worry.

8. Post-Wedding Follow-Up: After the wedding, Marie will help with any final details, such as ensuring that rented items within the venue are returned or collected.

FAQ’s

  • Will your venue coordinator professionally coordinate our entire wedding day? Yes, Marie will manage everything related to the venue, such as your caterer to the arrival of your cake. 

  • Will you meet with us at least once a month prior to our wedding to discuss plans made and suppliers booked? Absolutely. I will be there for you whenever you need me and for any questions or concerns you may have. 

  • Will you create an example itinerary of the day, which we can approve with you? Yes, I will assist you or create your running of the day.

  • Will you meet with all suppliers on the day for set up, ensuring they are there on time and know the venue layout? Yes, I will be there on Friday for the set up and early Saturday for any further supplier set up. We will also correlate with our groundskeepers and housekeepers to ensure that everything is ready to go for your big day. 

  • Will you be present to coordinate the venue set up including table plans, decoration, lighting and music, ensuring the ambience and room are exactly as we envisioned? Yes, I will be there to help any suppliers with their set up and exactly how it should look from working with you. 

  • Will you coordinate the order of events including the ceremony, caterer, speeches, cake cutting and first dance? Yes, we will work closely with your suppliers to ensure that everything runs smoothly throughout the day. 

  • Will you provide full assistance to us and guests arriving and will you discreetly handle any unexpected eventualities without disturbing us? Absolutely, I will be on hand throughout the entire day to make sure everything goes smoothly and if anything were to happen, I will be there to assist.
