We’re so lucky to have such an abundance of activities available to us in Norfolk that will be sure to keep you and your family busy all summer long.

Whether you’re visiting from abroad or from elsewhere in the UK and staying at one of our Holiday lets across Worstead Estate, or you’re local to the area and just looking for some ideas for the kids, why not take a look at our top recommendations for a summer in Norfolk.

Worstead Festival

To start the summer off right, visit the Worstead Festival on the 27th and 28th of July. This family-friendly event is packed with fun-filled activities across the two days. You can enjoy a small funfair for the kids, local food and craft stalls, and live cooking shows. It's a great way to spend the weekend in the Norfolk countryside.

Wildfest

Keeping it close to home, Wildfest is run by Wildcraft Brewery at Worstead Estate and is the perfect way to end your summer fun on the 8th - 10th of September. This popular event is filled with music, street food, craft stalls, and a kids' area to keep the little ones entertained throughout.

Bewilderwood

Bewilderwood is a child's playground of dreams (and adults') offering magical adventures for all. It's a fantastic place to visit during the school holidays. They offer discounted tickets for just £10.50, which includes entry for one adult and one child under one year old for weekday dates. Located just a short drive from Worstead Estate, it's a great spot for a family outing.

Cromer Carnival Parade

Cromer, a lovely seaside town, holds a yearly carnival that stretches over a week. One of the highlights is a huge parade where local businesses create their own floats and showcase them around the small town. It’s an amazing atmosphere and a great, free way to spend your evening.

Sheringham Crowning Carnival Day

Just down the road from Cromer, you can attend the Crowning Carnival Day in Sheringham on the 4th of August. This event doesn't need to cost you anything. You’ll find kids' entertainment spread across Sheringham, a parade, and a variety of arts and crafts stalls. It's set to be a great day out for all.

Worstead Estate Farmers Market

Lastly, don't miss the Worstead Estate Farmers Market on the 31st of August. This is a fantastic place to visit the estate and see all the amazing producers that Norfolk has to offer, from food and drink to handmade crafts. You'll definitely be going home with a handful of goodies.
