What to see and do this Christmas in Norfolk

Norfolk has a festive lineup that’ll make the holiday season truly magical, whether you’re a local or planning a winter getaway.

Visit Santa in Norfolk

One of the best ways to kick off the Christmas spirit is with a visit to Santa, and there are plenty of opportunities to do just that. On November 30th, join us for our very own Worstead Estate Farmers Market, the final one of the year will feature Santa himself, alongside highland cows, local makers, and loads of holiday cheer—perfect for getting in the Christmas mood.

If that date doesn’t work, you can catch Santa at Roarr Dinosaur Park, which is transforming for “Dippy’s Christmas Celebration” from November 26th to December 24th. The park is a great spot for families, and the holiday events make it even more special.

If you can’t make Roar at Christmas, we have partnered with Roarr to offer a fun deal, offering a £60 gift card for those who book a stay in one of our cottages between January and March. You can book your Norfolk break with us online and the gift card will be automatically applied.

Shows and entertainment

If you’re looking for a unique show, the Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth has its Circus and Water Show, which runs from mid-December through mid-January. It’s a thrilling, family-friendly event that’s become a seasonal favourite. Or, if you’re headed to the coast, there’s always the Cromer Pier Christmas Show, lighting up the season from November 25th to December 30th with music, comedy, and dance right by the sea.

For an enchanting winter wonderland, Thursford offers something unforgettable with Santa’s Enchanted Journey of Light and their legendary Christmas Spectacular. This place is designed for a full day (or evening!) of festive fun, complete with lights and a truly magical setting. Get ahead with Thursford as booking is essential.

Festive lights in Norfolk

For those who love Christmas lights, Sandringham’s Luminate light show will be illuminating the grounds from December 2nd to the 23rd, creating a beautiful, wintery scene. And if you’re visiting Norwich, don’t miss the Tunnel of Light in the city centre, a stunning display that’s free to explore and perfect for a festive stroll.

Norfolk is brimming with things to do this holiday season, whether you’re craving a cosy winter retreat or a fun-filled day out with family. There’s no shortage of ways to make this Christmas memorable.
