Accommodation
New Lane Cottage dates back to the early 1800s when Worstead was known for its weaving community. The thatched roof, exposed beams and narrow winding staircase are typical “chocolate-box” features associated with this time.
Rooms:
On the ground floor you will find a cosy living room, dining area kitchen and bathroom (with a shower over the bath). The first floor provides two comfortable bedrooms, one kingsize and one with twin beds (which can be made into a super kingsize bed on request).
Outdoors:
A gravel drive to the front provides parking for 2 vehicles. New Lane Cottage enjoys a quiet spot at the end of a wood-lined drive, with a large lawn garden and patio equipped with outdoor furniture, a BBQ for al fresco dining and a private 4-seater hot tub.

Take the B1150 (Norwich Road) towards Horstead and Coltishall. Continue on the B1150 through Coltishall and over the bridge, before winding left and then right to stay on the B1150 (North Walsham Road). Continue for 2.4 miles, travelling through Scottow, passing the lay-by on your left, and take the first right hand turn signposted "Byway to Sloley" (just before North Walsham Rugby Club). Continue for 1.4 miles, crossing over the railway line. After crossing the railway line take the first left turn (signposted to Worstead). After 0.5 miles Broad Road will be on your left hand side. Turn onto Broad Road and continue along to the railway crossing. The drive for New Lane Cottage will be on your right hand side.

Take the A149 (North Walsham/Cromer Road) to North Walsham. At the traffic lights turn right and continue straight on the A149. After approximately 3.5 miles turn right onto Honing Road (signposted to Worstead). Once in Worstead, pass in front of the church and continue south along the one way lane. Continue straight into open countryside away from the village. After approximately 0.7 miles Squirrelwood Equestrian Centre will be on your right hand side. Continue past the equestrian centre and two white gatehouses on your left hand side. After a short distance Broad Road will be on your right hand side. Turn onto Broad Road and continue along to the railway crossing. The drive for New Lane Cottage will be on your right hand side.
Arrival Information
Check-in is from 4.00pm on your day of arrival. The keys for New Lane Cottage will be located in the lockbox under the porch. The key safe access code will be provided to you on the day of your arrival.
Departure Information
Check-out is before 10.00am on your day of departure. Please return the cottage keys to the key-safe.
Please ensure that you leave the property as you found it, in a clean and tidy condition with furniture and fittings returned to their original positions. Please remove all food from the cupboards and fridge before you leave and ensure all dishes are washed and put away. Please place all waste in the general and recycling wheelie bins provided.

Getting to Worstead Park
Distance: 1.0km | Travel time: 5 minutes
At the end of the drive turn left and continue to the end of Broad Road. Turn left onto Sloley Road and continue for 0.2 miles, passing two white gatehouses on your right-hand side. The next right-hand turn is the entrance to Worstead Park (opposite Squirrel Wood Equestrian Centre). Continue along the drive into Worstead Park, passing through the electric gate and along Lime Tree Avenue. Follow signs for the Visitor Car Park. Once parked, a woodland path leads you from the car park to The Woodyard.
Useful Information
Bar:
We accept both card and cash across the bar in the evening.
Taxis:
We recommend guests book their taxis for 11:45pm. The bar and music finishes at 11:30pm and due to licensing, we require all guests to have left quietly, by midnight.
